Is it just me or is it much more difficult to dedicate time to learning the up and coming high school recruits?
I'm trying to figure out why I feel this way. Even with the portal roaring the past few years, I've still been heavily invested in the yearly crop of new guys. But the 2027 class just feels different.
I'm sure the 2024-25 exodus is attributing to this, considering we lost guys that would probably start or play a lot.
I also think the year 2027 plays into it. It just feels like a fake year! I remember around 2018 when we scheduled Texas for 2025, 2026 that those are just so far out there. Now 2027 high school recruiting class is staring me in the face.
To add to this, Ohio State is clearly going to be a major player (see: $$$$) in the national recruiting scene this year, so I should care more. We have the #1 guy according to 247 committed; it sounds like David Gabriel-Georges is trending our way. Overall, it's going to be a great class.
I want to care more, but I just can't yet. Hoping it's just due to it being March, and as the June visits start rolling, my interest will re-ignite

I've been experiencing the same thing. I almost feel like I'm forcing the information, and it's kinda working to build interest. Gone are the days of going crazy over Dontre Wilson's highlight tape!
I’m kind of feeling this, but I’m also trying to remember back to how I thought in the past years. I’m hoping it cranks up as we get into spring ball. Although it is stressful these recruiting battles are fun to track. He left, but Aaron Scott’s was one of the most fun lol
No one will top Terrelle Pryor!
